Metropolis Construction draws on years of experience working within this vital industry. Feature films, television dramas, commercials and more. If it appears on a screen somewhere Metropolis have been behind the scenes constructing great sets and converting locations, helping to realise the dreams and ideas of designers, directors and creatives. It's what we do.

Metropolis are located in Uxbridge, at the heart of Londons film making community, close to Pinewood, Shepperton, and Ealing studios. Next to the M25, M40 and the famous A40 into London and the world of prop houses. We have 3000 square feet of workshop space and 2000 square feet of storage, all within the confines of Flash Film Transports secure yard and storage facility with a mutual personal and professional bond of over 15 years.

Recent productions include 'Pistol' directed by Danny Boyle; 'The Strays' written and directed by Nathaniel Martello-White; 'Missile From The East',a documentary about Ernst Degner; 'Black Narcissus',written by Amanda Coe, directed by Charlotte Bruus Christensen with Gemma Arterton and Diana Rigg; 'Operation Mincemeat' directed by John Madden with Colin Firth and Mathew Macfadyen; 'The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard' with Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L Jackson and Salma Hayek; 'Behind Her Eyes' created by Steve Lightfoot with Simona Brown; 'The Great' created by Tony McNamara; 'Temple' created by Mark O'Rowe with Mark Strong, Carice Van Houten and Daniel Mays.

Amongst others we have collaborated with: Designers Kave Quinn (Pistol, Black Narcissus, Judy, Entebbe, Grimsby, Harry Brown) , John Paul Kelly (Operation Mincemeat, Blithe Spirit), David Roger (Temple, Goodbye Christopher Robin), Russell De Rozario (Angel Has Fallen, Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard), Chris Roope (Apple Tree Yard, Black Earth Rising, Behind Her Eyes)  Michael Pickwoad, Mike Gunn, James Price, John Ebden, Stephen Campbell, Fiona Crombie, Suzie Davis, Catrin Meredydd and Will Hughes-Jones.
