METROPOLIS CONSTRUCTION

Metropolis Construction draws on many years of experience working within this industry. Feature films, television dramas, commercials and more. Most of what appears on a screen  has involved Metropolis Construction in some way, constructing sets and converting locations, and generally helping to realise the dreams and ideas of designers, directors and creatives.

Metropolis are located in Uxbridge, at the heart of Londons film making community, close to Pinewood, Shepperton, and Ealing studios. Next to the M25, M40 and the famous A40 into London and the world of prop houses. We have 3000 square feet of workshop space and 2000 square feet of storage, all within the confines of Flash Film Transports secure yard and storage facility.

Recent productions include 'Black Doves' directed by Alex Gabassi & Lisa Gunning with Kiera Knightley and Ben Whishaw; 'We Live in Time' directed by John Crowley with Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh; 'Joy' directed by Ben Taylor with James Norton and Bill Nighy; Pistol' directed by Danny Boyle; 'The Strays' written and directed by Nathaniel Martello-White.

Amongst others we have collaborated with: Designers Laura Ellis Cricks (Black Doves), Alice Normington (The Essex Serpent, Good Grief, We Live in Time, Joy), Donal Woods (Belgravia, the next chapter), Kave Quinn (Pistol) John Ebden (The Lovebox in Your Living Room ), Candida Otton (Pack of Lies), Catrin Meredydd and Daniel Taylor.
